Have you ever felt that your friends list is too small? Do
you want to have more than 50 friends on your list? Well now there is a way to
have more than 50 friends in Toontown. The way to do this is through Disney DXD.
When you log into Toontown for the first time, one of the tasks in the
Toontorial is to make a friend with another toon. Friends are important in the
game because without friends, it would take you forever to complete tasks or to
battle the bosses.
There are three types of friends in Toontown, the first being a regular friend
that you just friend while playing the game. The second is a true friend. This
type of friend requires exchanging a code with someone you know. The third type
of friend is a DXD friend. A DXD friend is made in the same way as a true friend
but with a few distinct differences.
What does having a DXD friend mean?
A DXD friend requires a player to go to the Toontown mainpage but to log
into Disney DXD. In order to find DXD, look along the top line of the Toontown
main page till you see the button that says DXD.

| Once you click on the DXD button, to the far right, you
will once again head to a log in page that looks much different from the
Toontown main page but it looks just as toony. When the page loads, you need to
look for the log in screen that is in the top right hand corner. |
 |
When you go to log in for the first time, you will need to
click on the button at the bottom of the login box. When you do that, you will
see a screen that asks you for your log in name and password.
 |
In order to have DXD connect with Toontown, you need to
use your Toontown login name and password in the DXD log in box. Once you do
this and it syncs up with Toontown, it will ask you to create a D name. This
will be the name you see at the top of your login box and it is the name your
DXD friends will see when you log into Toontown, no matter which one of your
toons you are on. In order to make a DXD friend, you need to go back to the
login box and click on the word friends. When that screen comes flying across
your monitor, you will have an empty friends list until you make some DXD
friends. If you want to be a DXD friend with someone, you need to click on the
button that says open friend maker. A small box will then appear that gives you
the options to create a friend code or redeem a friend code. Which option you
choose to use depends on whether or not you are giving a code or redeeming a
code. |
Overall, having a DXD friend means that your DXD friends can see you on Toontown
no matter which toon you are playing on. If you have more than one account, you
would need to go through the process of creating a DXD account for each Toontown
account and giving out DXD codes for all accounts in order for your friends to
see you on any of the accounts you have.
The other benefits to DXD
One of the biggest benefits to DXD is the ability it gives people to chat
inside and outside the game. Before DXD, a person could only make friends and
secret friends. This meant that you could only see your friend when they would
log into the game on that partuclar toon, unless you knew what other toons they
played and were friends with those toons as well. With the addition of DXD, you
can see a player on any toon associated with the account they gave you a DXD
code for. When you are both logged into Toontown, you can chat with your DXD
friends by moving to the online player friends and all player friends screens of
your friends list. The other way to chat with your friends, while you are
outside the game, is to log into the DXD website and click on one of your online
friends names. A chat box will open that allows you to chat with players while
they are in Toontown or logged into DXD and you are logged into DXD.
Some small things you need to know
If you have DXD friends that are also true friends, on only one or two toons,
you will not see them true friend chatting with other toons in game. This is may
be confusing to some at first but it is nothing to be concerned about. If you
make room on your friends list to have another true friend, then you can chat
with your friends normally. Otherwise, you will need to find their D name on
your friends list and chat with them through whisper.
Caution
Just like Toontown says about true friend chatting in game, you should never
give out a code to a person unless you know them in real life. This will help
keep you safe on the internet.
Non-Toontown DXD information
Disney uses DXD for more than just a bigger friends list for Toontown. When
you log into DXD there are many games, challanges, puzzles, and videos to watch.
You can also private message your DXD friends by clicking on the message button
on your log in box.
A feature that will come to the DXD website in the near future is the ability
for Toontown players and players on the game Pirates of the Caribbean Online
will be able to talk to each other, even while playing in the different games.
Enjoy having bigger friends list in Toontown and learning what other toons your
friends or true friends use in the game to defeat the evil cogs. |
