Welcome to the third playground and first headquarters
that you will be introduced to in Toontown. After you complete all the tasks in
Donald’s Dock, you will move into the toon tasks for Daisy Gardens and almost
immediately go to Oak Street to start studying the Sellbot Headquarters for a
few of the shop keepers.
There are three toon tasks that will lead you to Oak Street, into the
courtyard, and into the factory of Sellbot Headquarters. The first one is to
report to Detective Lima, who resides at Spill the Beans, which is relatively
close to Sellbot HQ. This task, once completed, has the reward of a gag pouch
that can hold 35 gags. Detective Lima is suspicious of some strange happenings
on Oak Street but wants your help proving there is a SBHQ, so you are asked to
go beat 5 cogs and report back.
Once you leave the Detective in complete astonishment about SBHQ actually
existing, you get sent to Apples and Oranges Debate Society, which is just down
the street towards Daisy Gardens playground to talk to Judge McIntosh because
Detective Lima believes she will know what to do. When you get there, you are
sent on to phase two of the toon task. At first, the judge dismisses the notion
of SBHQ and tells you to prove it exists by bringing back blueprints of SBHQ
from one of the cogs.
Once you get the blueprints from the cogs, you go back and visit Judge
McIntosh and even though she did not believe you at first about the SBHQ, she
will take credit and say she knew about it all along.
Once Judge McIntosh reads over the blueprints, she tells you to run them back
to Detective Lima. One thing to keep in mind while working on these tasks for
Detective Lima and Judge McIntosh, is that their buildings seem to be taken over
by cogs on a regular basis. So you may need to switch districts a lot to find
one that is freed if you can't free it yourself.
Once you return to Detective Lima, he wants to know what Judge McIntosh said.
Luckily, this is the end of this toon task for you. His one word of warning is
that SBHQ sounds dangerous and that you should stay out until you get more laff
points. He says this to all toons, no matter what their laff point level is. You
will not be staying out of SBHQ for long though, so I guess toons do not heed
his warnings.
