Have you been looking for a new way to play with your toon
friends? Well, welcome a new playground and a new game in Toontown. Mini golf is
the latest craze to hit Toontown since Goofy's Speedway joined the ranks of
games that would take the toons away from beating up cogs or taking over cog
buildings.
Based on the citizens of Toontown's wishes, Disney is adding a new playground,
Acorn Acres, to the town for toons to enjoy. This new playground has a few
features including picnic tables where toons can sit and enjoy a meal with
friends, a water spout to ride to get a great view of the playground, and the
brand new Toontown game Chip and Dale's Mini Golf.
If you are not familiar with golf, here are some terms you
should know.
Par - the expected number of shots you will need to get the
ball in the hole. This will be shown on the scorecard.
Hole in one - You put the ball in the hole with just one shot.
Birdie - One under par. For example, you only needed two shots to put the ball
in the hole on a par 3 hole.
Eagle - Two under par.
Bogey - One over par.
Double Bogey - Two over par.
Triple Bogey - Three over par.
Tee - Where you start on the hole.
With the new playground and game, comes a whole new set of speedchat phrases for
the game.

This game is set up simply for every toon to understand.
There are a total of three courses to be played. Walk in the Par is the easiest
and there are only 3 holes on the course. There will be no obstacles. Hole Some
Fun is intermediate difficulty and has 6 holes. Some holes may contain a few
obstacles but others may not. The Hole Kit and Caboodle is the hardest and longest
with 9 holes. You can expect a lot of obstacles to be in your way. Each course
has three entrances.
The holes you play will be random each time. There
are 18 different holes and each has an easy and a hard version. The hard
versions will have a '-2' at the end of the name. Those holes only show up on
the Hole Some Fun and The Hole Kit and Caboodle.
In order to enter a course, you have to jump onto a golf
cart with up to three other toons. You can even play solo if you desire.

When the cart disappears into the course tunnel, you
arrive on the course with any other toons who joined you on the golf cart and
the first hole is introduced with a flyover. You will get this just before you
start each hole to get an idea of how to play the hole. The order in which you
play is determined by where you were sitting on the golf cart. The driver
starts. Second is the front seat passenger. Third is the toon sitting behind the
driver and last is the toon next to him.
When your toon stands on the tee to take their first shot,
you have to decide which one of three spots you want your toon to stand. Your
toon can either stand to the left side, the right side, or in the center of the
tee off area. Use the left and right arrow keys to position yourself and then
hit the control key. You have 15 seconds to decide or you start where you toon
is standing. Be very careful not to hit the control key twice!
Now you can aim your shot by using the left and right
arrow keys. You can also hit the up arrow key to line your shot up with the
hole. Once you are ready, you can take your shot. Just hold down the
control key and release it once you feel you have reached a high enough
percentage or power to get the ball to the hole. Just like throwing pies in the
VP battle, once it reaches 100% it will start going back down if you keep
holding down the control key. You have 60 seconds to shoot the ball. If time
runs out your toon will make a shot at 0%.
At any time you can hit the tab key to get a bird's eye
view of the hole.
You can view the scorecard at any time by clicking the card icon in the lower
righthand corner.

Just like in Goofy's Speedway, for every ten trophies a
toon wins they receive a brand new laff point. This means that the new high for
laff points, until Bossbot HQ comes out, is 132 laff points.
The trophies for mini golf are as follows:
Trophy 1 - 4 Courses Completed

You can keep track of your progress in the Shticker book and also see your
personal bests on each course and hole.

In the case of a tie in a multiplayer game, the toon taking the least amount
of time will win.
To keep things moving along, the most any toon can score on a hole is three
over par, a triple bogey. If you haven't put the ball in the hole after
your third shot over par, the game automatically displays a
'+3' and you are scored as if you got a triple bogey.
With the addition of mini golf, a new chapter opens in the city of Toontown.
Mini golf offers toons a new way to spend time with their friends and to take a
break from fighting the cogs.
