So You Wanna Make an Uber?

The newest member of my toon family on his first day in ToonTown.

There are certain toons in ToonTown that run around with lower laff points and some people ask, "Why is that toon's laff so low and their gags so good?" The simple response to that answer is that they have made an uber toon. An uber toon is made by a player that decided to make a toon with a minimal amount of laff points, or in some cases a lower amount of gags, than a regular toon would carry into a boss battle.

In the case of all ubers described below, you cannot do any racing, fishing, or gardening (except for planting trees). So for the toons that do not enjoy these activities in ToonTown, making an uber might not be a bad idea. Mata's Schticker Book tabs without the kart button because he can't race.

You will have to complete some tasks that require fishing, but if you are careful then you will not get a laff point from fishing. This is what my fishing album looked like by the time I was done with the tasks in Donald's Dreamland.

The other thing you have to get use to, depending on the type of uber you make, is toons that do not want to play with you because they only want to play with toons with higher laff levels. The last thing you need to know about creating an uber toon is cog buildings will be your new best friend because it is the area where you can get gag experience points the quickest, besides being in the highly populated cog invasion districts.

The Sellbot Headquarters uber(s): There are many types of uber toons out there, but this is the most frequent type of uber you will see running around ToonTown. The first is a 15 laff uber, which means they have not left the Toontorial section of ToonTown. This also means that a toon would not be able to return to a Toon Headquarters either in the playground or on the streets of Toontown after visiting your estate to see your first cattelog, because once you return to a toon headquarters; you will receive a laff boost which means you will no longer be a 15 laff uber. Being a 15 laff uber also means you will only have the gags throw and squirt and only be able to hold 20 gags. The second type of Sellbot HQ uber is the 25 laff uber, which means they can carry three gag tracks and that you will complete all the tasks in the ToonTown Central playground. By the time you leave the playground, you will carry the throw and squirt gags along with a third gag track of either toon-up or sound. You will be able to carry a total of 25 gags. As also seen later in the article, the unfortunate side to being an uber toon is the almost mandatory sadualities while in boss battles.

The third type of Sell uber is the 34 laff uber, which can carry four gag tracks and these toons will complete all the tasks in Donald's Dock. When you enter Donald's Dock, you will have the choice of either choosing lure or drop. You need to choose whichever gag you feel will allow you to be the most effective in the battle with the vice president. By the end of Donald's Dock, you will be able to carry 30 gags.

The fourth type of Sell Uber is a low laff, six track gag toon that completes all the tasks all the way through The Brrgh but does not move onto Donald's Dreamland. This uber, just like the others, cannot do things like race, garden, or fish.

As a Sellbot Headquarters uber, you will need to get your Sellbot Suit by beating the factory forman a total of ten times. The biggest change to this headquarters recently is the restriction that was put on the doors to enter the factory. As a Sell uber, you will only be able to enter through the front door of the factory. The side entrance will not be available to you until you have reached 31 laff points.

As a Sell Uber, you should hoarde Toon Hit and Cog Miss Cards. They can save your toon life.

The Cashbot Uber: Just like the Sellbot Uber, the Cashbot Uber has a low amount of laff and can only carry 70 gags by the time they get their Cashbot suit from the tasks in Donald's Dreamland. Before a toon enters Donald's Dreamland, they must complete The Brrgh, which means that they will carry all six gag tracks, unlike most Sellbot Ubers. This means a toon has important decisions to make in regards to what gag tracks they choose. I decided to take an even harder course than most toons and chose to have a toon-upless toon, so I could have stronger gags to help my team with during the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) battle. My toon needed a good doodle, since he does not have toon-up gags.

Also, even with the new laws instituted by ToonTown, the mints are still accessible to all toons, uber or not. The addition of needing particular laff levels to enter the Dollar and Bullion mints made it easier for toons that need bucks to get into the mints. Any toon can still enter the Coin Mint, but in order to enter the Dollar Mint, a toon must have 66 laff and in order to enter a Bullion Mint a toon must have 71 laff. With this in mind, there are also a couple types of Cash Ubers that can exist in ToonTown.

The first type is a person that used to be a Sellbot Uber and has maxed that office, so they decide to take their toon to the next headquarters to fight. When this toon arrives into Donald's Dreamland, they already have the additional laff points from Sellbot Headquarts, so they enter their first CFO battle with 76 laff. By the time this type of uber maxes their Cashbot suit, they will end with 81 laff points.

The second type of Cashbot Uber is one that does not do any VP battles. The lowest laff level that can get a Cashbot suit is 71 laff points. In order to complete this, you have to go through the following process in Donald's Dreamland, the mandatory tasks of:

1. Susan Siesta's defeat 8 4+ story cog buildings in DDL
2. Power Urge's defeat 70 cogs in DDL
3. The Countess's defeat 25 Number Crunchers in DDL
4. Drowsy Dave's 2 5+ story Cashbot Buildings
5. Zari's running delivery tasks
6. Lawful Linda's Cashbots.

After completing the tasks in the order listed on the webpage, receiving 8 Cashbot suit pieces and doing some tasks that did not involve shopkeepers (the last of those being the 70 gag bag task, in order to make an uber). Once all those tasks were done, I had to take a +1 laff task, which cannot be turned in if you want to remain at 71 laff, in order to be offered two more tasks for suit pieces. When you complete one of those two tasks, you will be offered one more for a total of 10 suit pieces. You will not be offered anymore suit tasks until you finish these two tasks and then take a +2 laff task. This task can not be turned in either, unless you want to go above 71 laff. My recommendation, choose something that would be hard to complete. The two tasks my monkey currently hold is 50 Backstabbers for +1 laff and 30 Corporate Raiders for +2 laff.

Once you are holding these three laff points, you will be offered the last suit piece. The hardest part about completing this type of uber is all the running you have to do. In order to find most of the suit piece tasks, you have to run to the various shopkeepers in DDL to find the different tasks because most will not be offered at the Toon Headquarters.

Depending on the toons that are outside the mints, it can be hard to get into a mint if all the random toons look at is your laff level. My recommendation is if you are having a hard time getting into the mints; wait till your friends can go with you. It makes life a whole lot easier.

The same can be said for the CFO battle as can be said for the mint. One time I actually had to throw my jellybean unite to prove to the toons around me that I was competent enough to go into battle with them. From that point on, especially since Mata is no longer in his Short Change Cog Suit, I have not had many problems going into the CFO battles.

The Lawbot Uber

Just like any other uber in ToonTown, this type of toon cannot race, fish, or garden except for trees to have organic gags. In order to leave Donald's Dreamland without doing any of the above named activities, you can finish Donald's Dreamland with exactly 100 laff points. This will allow you to visit Professor Flake and get the Temperature Sensors from all the streets in ToonTown, except for streets in The Brrgh because we already know that it snows in The Brrgh. If you take your toon through all stages of being an uber, then you can potentially have 110 laff points by the time you leave Donald's Dreamland and 115 laff by the time you max Law.

Overall, the biggest thing about becoming an uber toon is knowing that you will go sad often. If you make this type of toon, you have to be ready to go sad often because sometimes people will purposely kill you or if lure misses a lot, then you will go sad.
